Says who? 不是在說誰，正是在挑戰你！

Jeff正在和朋友聊一些市場現況，突然對方用不是很好的態度說了"Says who?"，Jeff還以為對方沒聽清楚是在說哪家公司，不耐煩地重複了一次，後來對方就一整天沒跟他說話了:

Jeff: Alipapa has no chance of breaking the sales record on 'Single Day.'
William: Says who?
Jeff: Ah…who? I've told you it's Alipapa. You idiot ... ...

Eric到了國外出差，為了準時趕上會議，問司機：Can you open the car soon?
司機聽了以為Eric想開門下車，雖然open在中文翻譯有開的意思，但在英文裡卻不是這樣說。

start、open、turn on的中文意思同樣都是開，怎麼用才對？

他很快就會開車。
(X) He will open the car soon.
(O) He will start the car soon.

我需要打開燈。
(O) I need to turn on the light.
(X) I need to open the light.

1.我會住在一家旅館。

Chinglish
I will live in a hotel.
English
I will stay in a hotel.

"stay"指短期居住，"live"指的是定居

2.我爸爸，他很快就要退休了。

Chinglish
My dad, he will retire soon.
English
My dad will retire soon.

一個完整的英文句子只能有一個主詞

3.今天下大雨。

Chinglish
It is a big rain today.
English
It is raining a lot today.
The rain is heavy today.
There is heavy rain today.

中文不能直接翻譯成英文

4. 我每天早上七點起床。

Chinglish
I every day 7am wake up at.
English
I wake up at 7am every day.
Every day, I wake up at 7am.
