1. Shopping for Beauty Products
Louie is looking at some items that are on sale. A sales clerk approaches him.
S=Sales Clerk L=Louie
S: Can I help you with anything today, sir?
L: Hi. Yes, you can. I'm looking for something for my mom.
S: Oh, lucky for you, we have a Mother's Day promotion that just started yesterday. You get NT$100 off if you spend over NT$1,000. Now, the promotion is limited to the items on this wall. Like this here is an antiaging face cream, and over here is a bottle of Envy perfume by Mary Walton.
L: (Pointing to a box) What's that?
S: This is a pack of 10 face masks.
L: OK, I'll take all of them.
S: All of them?
L: Yeah, I'll take the face cream, perfume, and face masks.
S: OK, great! If you'd follow me to the sales counter . . .

2. Getting a Good Deal
Louie brings a fitness tracker to the sales counter of an electronics store.
S: Hi, how are you doing today, sir?
L: Great, thanks. And yourself?
S: I'm great. So that's one SportFit fitness tracker. Just to let you know, this item has a NT$900 markdown and is a final- sale item, meaning there are no refunds or exchanges.
L: I understand.
S: OK, and how will you be paying today, sir?
L: Credit card.
S: Great, your total is NT$2,940.

路易：（指著一個盒子）那是什麼？

店員：好的，太好了！請您跟我到銷售櫃台……

2. 撿到便宜
路易拿著一個健身追蹤器到電器專賣店銷售櫃台。
店員：嗨，先生，您今天好嗎？
路易：很好，謝謝。那你呢？
店員：不錯啊。所以是一個SportFit健身追蹤器。只是要讓您知道一下，這項商品折價新台幣九百元，而且是最後下殺商品了，意思是不能退款或換貨。
路易：我瞭解。

實名制

新冠肺炎的疫情延燒，公衛專家建議到人群密集或密閉空間都要戴口罩以避免遭到病毒感染。政府於二月六日開始實行實名制，民眾可持健保卡在健保特約藥局及衛生所等地購買口罩，希望讓大家都有口罩使用。
