Kate: Hi, Amy. Are you OK? Amy: Yes. I just need to take a break from work. My job is so hard! My boss hired a new girl and asked me to train her.
Kate: What's wrong with that?
Amy: She does everything wrong! I have to tell her the same things again and again.
Kate: Oh no. Well, at least you aren't training soldiers.
Amy: True. That would be hard. And something else happened today!
Kate: What happened?
Amy: An order of clothes arrived, and there were so many mistakes! I have to fix the problem and make another order.
Kate: That sounds hard. Well, at least you aren't an engineer. I just read a story in the newspaper. A city has some major problems with their harbor. They hired an engineer, and he has to fix the problems.
Amy: That's a hard job!
Kate: Yes, and it's harder than yours. You can fix your problem easier than the engineer can fix the city's.
Amy: Kate, I just want to talk about my job. Why are you talking about other people's jobs?
Kate: I'm trying to help. Some people have really hard jobs. When you think about their jobs, aren't you thankful for your job?
Amy: I don't want to be thankful. I want to complain! Sorry, I shouldn't complain. I might have a hard job, but it's not the hardest job.
Kate: That's right!
Amy: I should be thankful for people with hard jobs.
Kate: Their hard work improves our lives!
Amy: True.
